Working Principle & Main Structure

The continuous carbonization furnace uses oxygen-limited thermal decomposition to convert prepared biomass into charcoal. After entering the furnace, the material is continuously heated and carbonized inside a sealed rotating drum. The main structure includes the following sections:

① Feeding Conveyor

A screw feeding conveyor continuously sends biomass into the furnace. The enlarged feed inlet accommodates different material sizes, while the enclosed design helps prevent foreign materials from entering and reduces material blockage.

② Carbonization Furnace

The main furnace performs oxygen-limited pyrolysis and produces carbonized charcoal. Its core consists of the rotary drum and heating section. High-temperature rock wool insulation improves heat retention, while good sealing helps maintain the oxygen-limited carbonization environment.

③ Combustion & Heating System

The combustion section supplies the heat required for continuous carbonization. The heating and combustion sections work together to maintain the required carbonization temperature.

④ Gas Purification Equipment

Combustible gases generated during carbonization are purified through an air-purification system using materials such as peanut shells and wood shavings as the purification medium. Compared with water-based purification, this design helps avoid blockage, reduce wastewater discharge, and lower environmental impact. The purification material can be replaced approximately every six months under the supplied design.

⑤ Cooling Discharge Conveyor

The discharge conveyor uses a double-layer structure with internal water circulation to cool the charcoal after carbonization. This reduces the risk of hot charcoal contacting oxygen and catching fire during discharge.
